Now Enrolling for the 2025-2026 School Year!
HOPE (Healing Our Past Experiences) 4 the Future After school program is a prevention-based program for school-aged children and teens, offered by Umoja Health, Wellness, and Justice Collective.
This trauma-informed and culturally aligned camp creates a safe and joyful space where youth can build trust, strengthen resiliency, and begin healing from trauma through creative expression, outdoor play, and meaningful relationships.

Students enjoy a healthy meal daily during afterschool, get assistance with homework, and have time for free play and creative projects throughout the year. From hands-on activities to skill-building experiences, we focus on fostering confidence, community, and curiosity in every child we serve.
While the program is deeply subsidized, families are making a commitment by enrolling. This contribution helps ensure consistency, community, and high-quality programming throughout the summer.

All summer camp sessions require registration by a parent or guardian.

The John R. Hayes High Steppin' Majorettes and Drum Corp
Founded in 1977 by the late John R. Hayes, this iconic program has inspired over 10,000 youth through the art of precision marching, dance, and drumming.

We combine tradition, discipline, and creativity to help youth build skills,
confidence, and lifelong friendships.

WHY IT MATTERS
More than a band — a safe space for youth to grow, lead, and belong. As part of Umoja Health, Wellness & Justice Collective, and the HOPE 4 the Future program, the band blends tradition with trauma-informed care and healing.
